Utah Desert - Different status information: Obs vs. telescope

Hi Support,

I just witnessed this situation:

the Observatory was stated as “Roof open”, but T20 was stated as “Roof Closed”. With reference to the attached screen-shot.

My inteded image run was therefore canceled with the hint “Roof Closed”.

But the Obs was open.

Just a view seconds later all are open again.

Many Greetings

Peter

    Hi Peter,

This actually highlights one of the new features of StellarDock. Every telescope gets its own roof status individually. This is beneficial for sites like UDRO and DSC where our systems are not all located in the same building. Sometimes one building opens before another, which can lead to this kind of scenario. The top label for the observatory is simply just a “is there a system with the roof open” label.

If you think there is a better way to display this please let me know!

      Hi Duncan,

that is realy an intersting solution what you decribed.

Of course it makes sense in case several different observatory types (RoR, Dome) are existing at one place respectivelly the scopes are located in several observatories at one place.

But my inted image run was canceled due to the "Roof is closed" status of the scope. However seconds before and seconds after I tried to start the run at T20 was open.

      That is what I'm wondering.

It is a bug, not a feature in my opinion. 😉

By the way - some minutes later I saw that situation again. For some time again T20 was indicated as "Roof is closed" for a really short time.

      Many Greetings

      Peter

Interesting. I will keep an eye on it and take a look at the logs to see if there is a problem.

        Thanks for letting me know!
